This series of fixed blades and lockback folding hunting knives feature high hollow ground blades in clip and drop point blade styles.

Handles are comfortably shaped and the optimally sized finger grooves help to provide grip confidence equally well for both large, or small hands. A double injection mold process of both hard and soft polymers creates an ideal all-weather, textured handle surface. All Free Range hunting knives come with their own high strength nylon fabric belt sheaths for convenient, comfortable carry. In the process of developing our line of Carson special forces G10 M16® models, it became apparent that there was a demand for these models from coalition forces serving in desert environments. These models have Desert Tan blade and scales.

The M16®-13DSFG Slim Profile G10 features a 3.50" (89 mm) dual grind Tanto blade and is ideal when weight and bulk must be kept to a minimum. It weighs only 4.0 ounces.

Just like it's black tactical counterpart, this knife shares a unique design offering a combination of Carson SF series features requested by military procurement specialists. It has a combined Razor-Sharp and patented (1) Veff™ Serrated edge. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt— up to now rare in folding knives.

Blade and scales are non-reflective Desert Tan. Premium 8Cr14 stainless steel blades receive titanium nitride coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Kit's trademark dual checkered thumb studs are standard. One-hand opening and closing is quick and smooth. The open InterFrame build uses Desert Tan scales of G10, and stainless steel liners with friction grooves. G10 is often preferred for its aggressive gripping texture, light weight, and the insulating properties which make it cooler in heat and warmer in cold than metal.

The M16-13DSFG features our exclusive patented (2)AutoLAWKS™, the Lake and Walker Knife Safety innovation taken to the next level. AutoLAWKS™ automatically sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use.

To close the knife, pull the AutoLAWKS™ red button lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position. All knives in this series are equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry on belts or webbing— tip up, tip down, left or right. (Caution: These knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry.) They are special knives, designed by the military for special forces desert use.

We have produced Kit Carson's popular M16® line in many variations over the past decade. Our glass filled nylon version has built the largest user base of all. These knives are built for function, not fad, and they are exceptional values.

Our new M16 ZLEK line uses our very successful InterFrame construction, with tough, textured glass filled nylon scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame and solid glass filled nylon back spacers. We assemble the handle with superior offset Torx® fasteners.

For professional use, we've added a seat belt cutter to the Carson Flipper, and a tungsten carbide window breaker at the butt. Automobile side windows shatter with one quick whack from the butt of the knife. All components receive a tough tactical black coating. The Flipper can be pressed for fast one-hand opening, and creates a blade guard when open.

We use our premium AUS 8 high-carbon stainless steel for the blades, which have Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges to easily cut rope, cord, canvas, and vegetation.

The "Big Dog" M16 is a hefty 6.2-ounce knife with a 3.75"- long Tanto blade that is able to tackle any emergency task. This larger model features a four-position clip, allowing carry on belts or webbing— tip up, tip down, left or right.
