CRKT RASP

Lager: 1

RASP
Designed by Darrin William Sirois in Fayetteville, North Carolina
Sometimes, it IS about the size of the dog in the fight. Retired Sergeant Major and designer Darrin Sirois knew what he was doing when he took a pencil to paper and dreamt up the RASP. Deployment-ready, ridiculously strong, and incredibly sleek, this stout tactical knife is made for mission.

Frame Lock
As a Green Beret, Darrin Sirois of Fayetteville, North Carolina is the kind of guy that expects his knives and tools to take hard abuse…and he designed the RASP tactical knife to accept the challenge head on. R.A.S.P…stands for “Rescue and Special Purpose” and it’ll do just that and so much more. The blade is at once a workhorse and a head turner—there’s simply nothing else quite like it. It’s a modified Wharncliffe, dubbed, “Warn Clip,” in Darrin’s terms, and features a subtle recurve. Though barely detectable just by looking at it, it effectively elongates the cutting surface, and gives it a distinctly unique style.
Deployed from its stainless steel handles with an unobtrusive flipper or a right-handed thumb stud, the blade is anchored in place by a burly frame lock. Nearly every last detail of the RASP features a stonewash finish, so it’s as sleek as it is powerful and resists rust and wear even in tough conditions.
Where this knife is headed, ‘oversized’ seems just right.
About the Forged By War program:
In 2013, Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, designer of elite, military, tactical tomahawks, approached CRKT with the news that he had been working with a few combat veterans that had returned from war with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress (PTS). To help work through their challenges, they have been designing and forging steel into custom tools. Drawing from their experience earned in combat situations, they have been creating tools they wished they had available to them in the battlefield.
CRKT cares deeply about our returning veterans and we saw a way to give back to the community that created them. In 2016, we launched the Forged By War program. These are mission ready tools, designed by veterans, with 10% of the CRKT net profits of the program donated to the veterans' charity of choice.
